My what an event filled month! I haven't posted in awhile due to 2 vacations in one month. The first was our Memorial weekend trip to Disneyland with my sister's family. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of that event, since I ended up with a horrible cold that weekend and it went by in a blurry fog of medication. I do remember, the few times I was "awake", enjoying everyone's company...it's always great to see Billy, Jean and Andre...and also spend fun time with my hubby. I'll also never forget that this was the weekend that we made Twilight converts out of Billy & Jean (evil laugh). More on that on a later post!
After, returning from the Disneyland trip, I had 2 and half days to get better and prepare for our Yosemite trip. I barely got well enough to make it to Yosemite and somehow pushed myself to go on a 5 mile uphill hike, bike 13 miles for 5 hrs and go stargazing. Chris and Chrissie joining us was certainly a lot of motivation! We had so much fun and the experience was so much more since we got to share it with them...Yosemite newbies! When we got home at 4 am on Monday, I crashed for the next 2-3 days. It was worth it though and here are a selection of pictures to prove it!

Definitely a busy 2 weeks, now that I'm getting this overview from you! WOW you definitely did push your body extremely. Crazy what control the mind has over the body though.
Disneyland was very fun, and we hope to make it a annual event to look forward to, or make it a biannual and go back @ XMAS?
Our 3rd trip to Yosemite is definitely one for the books. We were able to do so much in the time that we were there. We're just blessed that we had another able-bodied couple to join us for that rigorous hike. Hon, you haven't even posted HALF of what we all went through that weekend! *Ahem* mountain lion *AHem*
Yep, returned at 4 am on Monday. One of the tiring driving experiences we've had.
All in all, everything was SO worth it. Wouldn't change a thing.
Glad to have experienced it with you, my best friend & wife :)
Oh! and looking fwd to Yosemite again exactly a year from now!
Gorgeous photos! And what an amazing shot of that bear! Who woulda thought--Vince, the wildlife photograhper?!
I know! Vince was so focused on shooting the bear that he didn't hear me yelling that he was too close!
That weekend was such an adventure...I'm still compiling the different stories of what went on that weekend. I'll post those soon!
Just glad to be alive to tell the story. Len AND Chris, I found out later, were both yelling at me to get back.
Guess I was too thrilled & zoned into getting the shot!
Hon, can't wait for you to share all the stories from our trip!
Len & Vince,
Beautiful pictures! Vince, I think you were a bit too close to danger there...so brave! My favorite was the 'mirror lake', it's so serene looking. It looks like you guys had a great time outdoors. Len, I'm glad to hear that you were well enough to keep on truckin', you're such a trooper. We miss you guys. Oh, before I forget, Vince- very belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! We'll be in touch in mail soon.
Much love,
Pat & Shell
